Bob Kalili is a leadership strategist, executive coach, author, and institution builder dedicated to advancing leadership excellence across Africa. As Co-Founder of CEO Academy Africa, he works with executives, leadership teams, and organizations to strengthen leadership capability, navigate complexity, and build institutions that endure.
His professional journey began in academia, where he served in progressively senior leadership roles, culminating in his appointment as Registrar (Academic Affairs). This foundation in higher education shaped his deep appreciation for learning, institutional governance, leadership development, and organizational transformation. He later transitioned into leadership consulting and executive coaching, bringing together academic rigor with practical executive experience to support leaders facing increasingly complex strategic and organizational challenges.
Bob’s work is grounded in the belief that the quality of leadership ultimately determines the quality of organizations, institutions, and societies. His research and thought leadership focus on helping leaders think more strategically, lead more effectively, and build organizations capable of thriving in an era of disruption, uncertainty, and continuous change.
He is the author of five leadership books—The Adaptive CEO, From Zero to Founder, The Leadership Psyche, The Leadership Gravity Principle, and The Executive Transition™—which explore the evolving demands of executive leadership, organizational transformation, entrepreneurial growth, and leadership psychology.
