Impact Overview
From pencils and trees to coding clubs and mentorship, our programs are helping children stay in class, learn better, and dream bigger. Here are some of the ways Hope For Literacy and MOMO Pencils are making a difference.
What We’ve Achieved So Far
Our goal is to donate 1 million eco-friendly pencils and plant 1 million fruit trees. Every child who uses our pencil gets to plant a tree.
- Pencils distributed: 245,000 eco‑friendly MOMO pencils given to pupils.
- Children reached: 245,000 learners benefiting from our programs.
- Trees planted: 12,000 fruit trees planted in school compounds.
- Schools supported: 40 schools across Kenya.
Keeping Children in Class
In many communities, something as small as a pencil can decide whether a child attends school or stays engaged in lessons. Through our Eco‑Friendly Pencil Donations and literacy support, more pupils now attend regularly, complete homework, and participate confidently in class.
Creating Green Learning Spaces
Our Tree Planting & Green Schools program has turned dusty school yards into shaded, green areas where children can read, play, and learn. Head teachers report cooler classrooms, more pride in the school environment, and stronger environmental awareness among pupils.
Opening Doors to the Digital World
Through our Coding Clubs, children who had never used a computer are now creating simple games, animations, and stories. Teachers describe increased curiosity, improved problem‑solving, and renewed excitement about science and technology.
